Woven Coasters

Materials:

Yarns
Scissor
Cardboard
Yarn needle
Pencil & ruler (for measuring).

Steps:

1.Start by picking out your colors of yarn.

2.Cut a piece of cardboard (5×5)inch.
3.Cut slits at every 1/2 inch.

4.Wrap your yarn (basic color) around the cardboard, fitting it into each slit.

5.Leave tail at each end from the backside of the cardboard.

6.Thread your first piece of yarn through going over and under each piece of twine (when you are weaving you don’t want to pull it too tight or it will start to change the shape).

7.If you finished thread the line over the twine you will start the next line under the twine and Leave about a 3 to 4 inch tail at the beginning and end.

8.Flip the cardboard over and cut the twine down the middle.

9.Knot a couple pieces of twine together all the way down to secure the yarn in place.

10.Take the tail end and threading it through the needle. Then, thread it through the back of a piece of woven yarn. This is super simple to do and doesn’t show through. Trim the end.

Note:

When you are doing the coaster with the triangles start first with creating the triangles and then fill in the blank space with the off-white yarn.
